If you follow me on plurk you will know that the moment I saw the new release shoes from House of Fox I was smitten. Today after a busy couple of days I finally got in world and ran to get them… I wanted all the colours. I narrowed it down to 8. My 8 favourite colours. Yellow, Cream, Black (obviously!), Brown, Orange, Pink, Red and Purple… I struggled and struggled until, eventually, I bought yellow (my favourite colour) and cream (versatile!) – accidentally leaving myself a little short on the rent this week, but I’ll worry about that tomorrow whilst I’m wearing fabulous shoes – so who cares?
I got them home and ripped open the box and they are a delight! There was one tiny flaw to my love affair, they are sold full-bright. Now the colours (the pastel pack ones) are very bright colours, and by that I mean they are intended to be rich full and vivid colours; and windlights can tone down a shoe to a near-dull tone if you aren’t careful. The cream is a very pale tone so it would have been washed out into a grey had it not been full bright… however I personally prefer my shoes to be non-full bright. I live my SLife with my windlight settings adjusted so that I look my best at all times *fluffs her hair* with prim and skin perfect settings, and with these on I wouldn’t even notice they were full bright – but I know other people would.

So I did the sensible thing, told the designer! I knew that if I wore the non full bright ones then people in the dark would see them darkened and affected by light sources nearby, but I would see them in my windlight setting the way the creator intended. The happy, and vibrant yellow I love.
The designer (the incredibly and enviably talented Fashionboi Landar) responded in less than half an hour and provided me a new copy of the shoes, non full bright and full bright options in one handy folder, for no extra charge. So why did I tell you this whole long story about them being full bright? NOT to discourage you buying them for sure! The exact opposite in fact. Not only are the shoes incredible, in full bright and non full bright ;], but the customer service was top notch, and for me thats something worth sharing.

If you bought these shoes and would like a non full bright option – why not IM the creators customer service rep yourself and request a copy? If you would buy these shoes if they had a non full bright option – tell them that too! Feedback is great when its taken well, and House of Fox have shown true quality, by design and by their grace and eagerness to provide what their customers want.

I don’t want to ‘wait’ for a not full bright option, so why don’t they just sell shoes that are not full bright to begin win? That’s my feedback. If I demo’d these full bright, I would never ever purchase.
